The scent of the toothpaste is not too overpowering for me, but also doesn’t scare my cats off. Having the two toothbrush options is nice and works well for cleaning my cat’s teeth, even though it is not her favorite activity.
My vet mentioned that my cat of 14 years has mild tartar build up and I should try brushing his teeth. I thought this would be a nightmare! But this product made it an easy task to add to my daily to-dos. The toothbrush is small enough to reach his back teeth and he seems to love the toothpaste. On my last vet visit he said his teeth look great! Awesome product!
We’ve been using this toothpaste with our cats for years now. They like the taste and it makes their breath smell MUCH better (and most importantly, it cleans!). I just wish we could also buy the tube separately.The kit brush is a bit rough and the tube can last for months so we just buy separate cat brushes in bulk. The finger brush we just don’t use at all. It’s just a waste of plastic. It would be perfect if we could have the tube option just like there is for dogs.
This toothbrush set seems to work well my cat let me brush his teeth he only fought me a little and he seemed to have liked the flavor which was a plus!
I got this because my cat has NASTY breath and gets his wet food stuck in his teeth. The paste is great, but the brush itself is quite large to get in his mouth and actually effectively clean his teeth. I ended up buying a smaller brush with a regular brush end and a tapered end because it was easier to use and cleaned his teeth more effectively. I still use this paste though.

After my cat had to have 3 teeth removed I got serious about oral health. After a lot of research and trial and error I found this product. It’s important to take slow steps to get your cat used to it. Start massaging the teeth and gums with plain fingers. Be gentle! Then add a tiny amount of the toothpaste. Then you can graduate to the finger brush. As other reviewers said, the finger brush is too large to reach the back teeth but a piece of gauze wraparound your pinky finger works too. I just received another brush for my second cat. Do NOT use the same brush on all your pets!
This is by far the best toothpaste I’ve used on my cats. No weird smell, helps with tartar, and they seem to be okay with the taste. That being said, I am frustrated that they only sell this product as a kit, and not just the individual tube of toothpaste. I’ve already bought the kit and I have the accessories from the first one, so I do not need those again. They have a dog version of this kit and yet they still sell individual tubes of the dog toothpaste, for cheaper than the kit version. But no such option exists for their cat toothpaste… seems unfair to me. In addition to the cost, it’s simply a waste of plastic. Petrodex, please be mindful to customers and the planet by offering a version of this with just the toothpaste.

This is a great kit to get if your cat has bad gums. The vet recently told me my kitten had a form of gingivitis that has nothing to do with age - more genetic. His top left gums were very red and raw. I immediately went online and checked out pet toothbrushes and tooth paste. I got this kit and my kitten’s teeth are now totally pink and healthy after 2 weeks of daily brushing. He likes having his teeth brushed now since he loves the taste of this tooth paste. It is Malt flavored. This saved my kitten from having to have his teeth cleaned by a vet and also from losing his teeth. I am so pleased with the results. I will now use every day since it helped him so much and is well worth the money!

Loro poverini soffrono tanto quanto noi quando hanno cavità nei denti. E l’unica via d’uscita in Italia è estrarli. Quindi per prevenire una cosa orrenda del genere consiglio fortemente chi è davvero dedicato ad aiutare il suo gatto a vivere al più lungo possibile di spazzolargli i denti regolarmente. Il tubetto dura anche un anno se messo nelle quantità giuste. Un gocciolo piccolo piccolo sulla spazzola e auguri a voi e tanta pazienza ad insegnarli a sopportare il processo. La mia gattina Siberiana lo adora e lo mangia fortunatamente. È fatto apposta per essere digerito dagli animaletti. Il prodotto è arrivato come previsto dagli US però prima della pandemia quindi presumo ora i tempi saranno più lunghi.
